For Emma is the second print that Marc Camille Chaimowicz has generously created for the ICA. Much like his 2009 edition, Les Voyageurs, this piece revisits a work entitled Here and There (1978). Here and There comprises a group of decorated panels and painted boards, upon which photographs featuring every-day and domestic details are mounted. With this edition, the same production methods have been utilised on a more compact scale.
For Emma is also named after Emma Bovary, the lead protagonist in the Gustave Flaubert classic, Madame Bovary.
