Produced in a limited edition of 200 copies, Atom captures a range of leather pieces by Fleet Ilya as tools of self-discovery, intimate connection and collaborative creativity. The book, edited by Fleet Ilya and co-founder Resha Sharma, comprises portraits of five heroines within their private spaces, still lives, immersive nature shots by Bazhenova-Yamasaki and poetic text by Beata Duvaker. The book is a result of almost a decade-long collaboration between Bazhenova-Yamasaki and Fleet Ilya. Both the artist and the label are committed to exploring the body and the power of eroticism.
Fleet Ilya is a visionary design brand centred around excellence in the construction of leather. The company came into being with the objective of establishing a label that both informs the erotic possibilities of leather and restriction as well as bridging a high fashion aesthetic and subversive fantasy. Ekaterina Bazhenova-Yamasaki is a London based mixed media artist who works across photography, spoken word, moving image and music. Her clients include Vogue, 032c and Purple Magazine.
