This is the artist’s first solo exhibition in a public institution and includes a selection of art works from her expansive practice. Penny Goring has written the poem below to accompany the new edition.

Variety Mix Despair poem by Penny Goring, 2022

some despair manifests as columns of static hanging from roof to basement, prefers half-light, smells like lilies, keeps hissing. some despair blows your fuses. some despair makes you feel more alive. lie still while i break your legs. some despair is fluffy and sweet, has long icy tongues, many fingers. some despair perches on your shoulder, breathing hot death in your ear. some despair is very sad, it fucks you while you’re sleeping. some despair looks better inflated, some was meant to be small. some despair leaks its slippy mud down your inner halls.
