This print is a digital recreation of an isolated layer from a 2016 artwork titled “Blue Face” Part of a series of superposed drawings on acetates, it was originally exhibited at Jenny’s Gallery in Los Angeles for the exhibition “King and Slave” This new iteration brings focus to the delirious expression of an androgynous face, reminiscent of the talking mirror in Walt Disney’s Snow White. The reflective holographic foil highlights reinforce this resemblance and make this hypnotising stare all the more magnetic.
Julien Ceccaldi (b. 1987, Montreal, Canada) lives and works in New York, NY.
