Dor Guez, Induction Base, 2015
Inkjet print on Somerset Photo Rag paper
30 x 40cm
Edition of 50, accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate
This edition is a still from the video which formed a part of Guez's solo exhibition at the ICA, The Sick Man of Europe. The artist's most ambitious project to date, by highlighting the creative practices of individual soldiers from the Middle East, it reflected on the military history and contemporary political climate of the region.
As an artist of Palestinian Christian and Jewish Tunisian descent living in Jaffa, Dor Guez's practice questions contemporary art’s role in narrating unwritten histories.
